3 KEYS to EFFICIENCY that we are going to unravel for a fuller life.
Welcome, I’m David. There are 3 keys that successful & influential people develop in their day-to-day activities. These keys, predispositions, work.
And this happens for the simple reason that these keys, which are extraordinarily common, the vast majority of us, even knowing them, do not apply them in our day-to-day, either due to neglect or disorganization.
Those Three Keys are:
Key nº 1 - Be Proactive and Non-Reactive.
Take charge of your destiny.
Key nº 2 - Who does not try, does not succeed.
Worse than failing is not trying.
Key nº 3 - Enjoy the Process and not the Objectives.
Walker, there is no path, the path is made by walking.
First Key - Be Proactive and Non-Reactive.
Take the "reins" of your destiny.
Start the day pro-active and not reactive to external stimuli.
The benefits of creating our routine to apply as soon as we wake up, are extraordinary since we start the day with control over what we do and not reacting to stimuli imposed and over which we have no control.
Dedicating time to ourselves even if it is small, maybe as little as 20 minutes, is essential to start the day on the right foot.
In this way, we control the beginning of our day by being proactive, developing an activity that fulfills us as human beings, while taking control of our day.
The opposite is to take the attitude of being reactive to stimuli that all they do is produce distractions. It is common for the vast majority to get hold of their cell phone as soon as they wake up and thus obtain their brain dopamine dose that irretrievably distracts us and usually does not bring us anything positive.
Thus, our mobile phone can become our greatest enemy in the morning.
On the contrary, there are people who, knowing that the first minutes of the day are vital for the course of their day, decide to invest this precious time in doing an activity that fulfills them as human beings.
For example, dedicating time to sports or meditating, or maybe spending time having breakfast with their family. etc…
Second Key - Who does not try, does not succeed.
We all remember the phrase "worse than failing is not trying."
There is something common in all people who have achieved success, and it is that their ultimate goal is to avoid having to regret the things they did not do because they lacked the courage, the will, and the power of decision at the right moment.
People regret more than what they have not done, than what they have done and what went wrong, since this world is a world of Action.
But let's go down to our immediate world, that is, the business world.
Since this is a world of professionals, a world of actions, this induces us to have to act, to take risks followed by uncertainty, without knowing if they will result in success or failure.
But even at the risk of failure we have to be aware that based on everything said above, our professional world is a world in which we have been chosen, each one of us in their Position, not to be still, but to take action, always in the hope that they are accurate, and positive.
Thus, de-dramatizing our Successes and Failures.
"If you can meet triumph and defeat and treat those two impostors the same", said Rudyard Kipling.
Acquire a better overall perspective, since it is possible to achieve more by doing less if that less is of higher quality.
The problem here comes when there is someone who does more and of higher quality than us, and these could be our competition.
In any case, let us remember a reality which is that:
"Worse than failing is not having tried."
The Third Key is - Enjoy the Process and not the Objectives.
Walker, there is no path, the path is made by walking.
The slogan here is simple: Focus more on the process than on the achievement of objectives.
In the Evolution in the Development of Organizations, it goes from Phase I - Undifferentiation, to Phase II - Differentiation, to Phase III - Integration, which is the positive destiny of Organizations.
But Phase III of Integration is not a "station" to which you must simply arrive. If someone says "I'm already in Phase III", they may not have arrived yet and are still in Phase II or even in Phase II Crisis.
Because Phase III of Integration is not a "fixed station", but a "continuous process", in continuous positive evolutionary movement.
There are things in life, that we can control but at the same time, there are also things that are beyond our control. This leads us to take responsibility for what is within our possibilities and de-dramatize when things do not go well if they are beyond our control.
No one is perfect, and we all can improve - that's the personal development goal. Let's remember the phrase: "We all have a place for improvement."
The pursuit of the rapid achievement of our objectives may well cancel what we have proposed for the future. Concentrate more on the next step to take and spend less time in the illusion that it will happen when we have achieved what we have set out to do.
Become aware of this, it is essential to spend more time of the day thinking even at the expense of reducing the time of action.
Let us remember that the Human Soul is Tripartite:
We have Thinking, rooted in our brain and that spreads throughout our organism through the nerve endings.
We have a Feeling, located in everything rhythmic and metabolic in our body. And we have a Will, the operating will.
And if I think something and I feel that this is correct, knowing that the logic of Feeling is different from the logic of Thinking, but of great value and different origin than Thinking, giving warmth to the cold Thinking.
Then the Intention arises to carry out the Thought and Sense, what I do thanks to my operating Will.
Think / Feel / and Want.
